Fire erupts at Larkspur condo complex
Fire crews extinguished a fire at a condominium complex in Larkspur on Monday.
Central Marin Fire Department Chief Ruben Martin said the fire was reported on the 1100 block of South Eliseo Drive. He said as many as 15 residents may have been displaced by the fire.
Crews were dispatched to the fire at around 10 a.m. The fire was contained to “a couple of units,” Martin said.
By about 11 a.m., the crews had extinguished most of the flames and were looking for hot spots, he said.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, he said.
A pedestrian bystander went into cardiac arrest at the scene. Martin said fire crews assisted and emergency crews were able to regain a pulse. The man was transported to MarinHealth Medical Center. The cardiac arrest was believed to be unrelated to the fire, Martin said.
