Senior Software Engineer (Test Automation) - Treyarch: Activision Blizzard
Are you passionate about writing tests and developing frameworks? Do you want to have an impact on the development process while improving the quality of a game played by millions of fans across the globe?
Automated tests are an essential technique we use to detect and report defects in our game and tools. As a Test Automation focused Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with Quality Assurance and Engineering leadership. You will develop new features for our testing frameworks, create new tests, and deploy them to the data center and developer’s desks. Each day you’ll collaborate with developers from multiple disciplines.
What you’ll do…
Write and maintain automated tests
Develop frameworks to apply white box and black box techniques
Collect and visualize metrics
Research and develop new techniques and maintain a process of technological evolution
Analyze test results and partner with feature developers to understand unexpected outcomes
Meet regularly with QA leadership to develop plans, roadmaps, and tools to improve QA workflows and productivity
Mentor other engineers on the automation team
To succeed you should have…
Passion for automation and software testing
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience
Previous work experience developing test frameworks
Advanced understanding of Python, C/C++, and SQL
Deep grasp of computer architecture, networks, and operating systems
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Self-motivated, strong sense of independence
We’d love it if you also have…
Experience developing console games
Familiarity with QA methodologies
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Knowledge of Win32, Git, Puppet, Grafana, Perforce, Linux, Flask
Experience in a management or leadership position
Passion for video games, especially FPS games
