‘Naked’ Holly Willoughby shared a bed with TV presenter Jake Humphrey for six months – and his wife didn’t care!

HOLLY Willoughby slept starkers with a male TV presenter pal, reveals her friend, BT Sports Presenter Jake Humphrey.

Jake, 43, and Holly, 41, have been mates for 15 years after working in kids TV together.

They presented CBBC’s coverage of Celebrity Fame Academy together back in 2002 and have been tight ever since.

In fact, Jake has revealed the pair were so close, they even shared a bed together – but it was all completely innocent, despite Jake joking that Holly was a fan of sleeping au naturel.

In an unearthed interview from 2012, Jake told The Mirror that while he and Holly were working on Celebrity Fame Academy, she would stay at his flat in London as she was based in Brighton.

Jake recalled: “Eventually, it got to the point where we couldn’t be bothered to get the blow-up bed out so for about six months we slept in the same bed.”

Jake had already started dating his then-girlfriend Harriet, who he went on to marry in 2007, when the This Morning host used to crash at his pad.

Jake stressed that “nothing ever happened” romantically between him and Holly, but joked that may have been a different story if he hadn’t been dating.

Jake teased: “I wouldn’t want to say I met my wife too early but I would just say Holly’s worst habit is she sleeps naked – joking, of course.

“Holly’s a good mate but I look back on my time with her and wonder what might have been but I was going out with Harriet at the time and she lived in Leeds.”

Not that Harriet cared, according to Jake.

He added: “She had met Holly so she knew what she looked like and she was fine with it.

“She is brilliant, fantastic, she understands,” continued Jake, who noted she is not the jealous type.

Holly and Jake worked together again in March 2017 when he was a guest on her sports quiz Play To The Whistle.

Holly has been married to her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin since 2007.

They have three children together.
