The yield for the airline from carrying such passengers is usually higher than its average, Dutta said. "Obviously, we're not going to accept Qantas passengers at a lower-than-average yield. Will only accept them at a higher-than-average yield. So, for us, from a yield standpoint, it's hugely lucrative. Therefore, we love alliances and codeshares."
