NFL star David Moore arrested on weapon and drug charges ‘after falling asleep in a Taco Bell drive-thru’
CHICAGO BEARS wide receiver David Moore has been arrested in Texas on weapons and drugs charges, it has been reported.
The NFL star, 27, signed a one-year deal with the Bears in April after leaving the Green Bay Packers.
Moore was reportedly arrested in his hometown of Gainesville, Texas, on July 3.
According to TMZ, the receiver was found asleep in the driver’s seat of a Ford F250 in a Taco Bell drive-thru.
Police reportedly found “a package of THC edible candies along with three pistols” in his vehicle.
Moore was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of weapons.

He posted a $5,000 bond and was released from Cooke County Jail on Monday.
The former seventh-round pick originally only signed a one-year deal with the Bears during the off-season.
Standing at 6ft1 and 219lbs, the athletic receiver was taken 226th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2017 Draft.

Moore has racked up 1,163 yards receiving during his NFL career, as well as catching 13 touchdowns.
Since leaving Emerald City in 2021, he has enjoyed short stints for the Panthers, Raiders, Broncos and Packers.
Moore becomes the third Chicago player to be arrested in 2022.
Bryon Pringle was jailed for reckless driving in April, while linebacker Matt Adams was booked for misdemeanor gun possession.
Chicago are due to begin their pre-season schedule on July 26.
