• Dee Bell, international recording artist and a former Mill Valley music teacher, celebrates her CD releases of “Love for Sailin’ Over Seas: Then & Now” and “Lins, Lennox, & Life” at a show featuring Grammy-nominated Marcos Silva and his Brazilian Band at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Throckmorton Theatre at 142 Throckmorton Ave. in Mill Valley. • Contemporary Opera Marin, the opera program of the College of Marin, performs works by Frederic Rzewski, HK Gruber and Peter Maxwell Davies as part of its “Music to Save the Planet” program at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at College of Marin’s James Dunn Theatre at 835 College Ave. in Kentfield.
