On the eve of Eid al-Adha, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday appealed to the followers of Islam in the state not to sacrifice any such animal which might hurt the sentiments of their neighbours following other beliefs as prescribed by the state’s cattle preservation law.
