Cops issue urgent warning over cannabis sweets containing ‘rogue’ batch of drugs after man, 40, dies
POLICE have issued an urgent warning over cannabis sweets containing a “rogue” batch of drugs after a man, 40, is found dead at his home.
Cops were called out to an address on Bradford Road, Kirklees, earlier today where they found the deceased man and two others in a critical.
The two adult males have since been rushed to hospital and are said to be seriously ill.
Cops have not yet confirmed a cause of death but have taken the proactive step of issuing a warning to the public about a “rogue” batch of drugs in circulation in the area.
Police released a photo of two jars of the suspected trained substances, which resembled a batch of gummy bears.
DI Simon Reddington of Kirklees District CID said: “We are in the process of establishing what has happened here and cannot rule out that this tragic death and the illness suffered by these males were connected to a possible rogue batch of illegal drugs.
