A MUM has divided opinion after sharing the “chaotic” way she cuts a sandwich – will you try out her hack?
Whether it’s two triangles, four squares or two halves – everyone has their way of cutting a sandwich.
But one Reddit user has taken it to the next step.
The woman shared a grab of her uniquely-cut lunch after revealing she’s shunned the traditional way of cutting bread into perfect halves.
Instead, the Reddit user said she cuts her sandwiches off-centre and into six, odd-shaped pieces.
In her post, shared on the CasualUK forum, she said: “Personally I believe this is the best way. Optional shapes and sizes, plus two extra pieces.”

Not everyone was a fan of the senseless cutting technique, with many calling it “madness” while others wondered if this week’s heatwave had sent her “crazy”.
One person quipped: “What is this chaotic neutral monstrosity?”
Another added: “Has the heat got to you? What is this craziness?”
A third said: “To be fair, I could see this working if it was to accompany soup. Other than that, madness.”

Others offered more “constructive” criticism and wondered if the middle parts were too “flappy” to hold together when picked up.
One person wrote: “I appreciate the effort, but I’m gonna have to veto this one. The central two look a bit flappy, going to say.
“Might get away with it on toasted, but on bread? Nah. Ratios and angles look dangerous, to me.”
Meanwhile, others said they might take up the new method in the future.
“You actually have my attention here. I think I’ll give this a go at lunchtime. Can’t complain about getting more sandwich!,” one wrote.
“I kind of like it. Smash the system!” said another.
The mysterious sandwich-cutter returned and explained she cuts her lunches the way she does because they were easier to eat at work.

She said: “I actually started this about a year ago. Whenever I see a sandwich post on this sub I think, ‘I should show them my way’, then promptly forget.
“Finally, I remembered to take a photo before the jolly gobbling. I make them like this to take to work. Smaller chunks mean I don’t have hamster cheeks if I have to communicate with people.”
