Stocks in Asia tumble after Sri Lankan government's collapse
SYDNEY, NSW, Australia - Political instability in the UK, Japan, and Sri Lanka rattled Asian markets on Monday with most indices closing lower.
The main exception was in Japan, where the Nikkei 225 surged 295.11 points or 1.11 percent to 26,812.30 after former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Liberal Democratic Party increased its majority in Sunday's elections, two days after he was assassinated.
