I agree fully about Forshaw's ineffectiveness but makes more sense to have him as, hopefully, unused depth than Bate.
The trouble we have in regards to youth is, similar to what Bielsa said, that they have to be better than the player already in their position. We're not strong enough to be able to risk blooding a youngster. That is why teams like Red Bull Salzsburg are better at doing it as they can blood the players in a far easier league and can throw 2 or 3 into the first team and still win the league. There is also the opportunity as with them selling 2 or 3 first teamers per season spaces open up for them (likely they will throw a couple of youngsters in to replace the players we bought from them).
Maybe it would be better if Bate went there on loan !!
