Amazon Prime members can take advantage of free game downloads every month, but they're typically limited to a handful of indie titles, with major releases occasionally sprinkled in.
For Prime Day 2022, Amazon is offering over 30 games they can claim, including fan-favorites like "Mass Effect: Legendary Edition," "Need for Speed Heat," and "Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy." A blog post from Amazon details the full list of games that will be available through July 13.
Unlike normal Amazon Gaming offerings, these titles will only stick around for a few days, with most becoming unavailable immediately after Prime Day ends. If you're a Prime member, we recommend downloading them all (or at least the ones you're interested in), since they're free until they reach the expiration date listed.
How to get free games for Amazon Prime Day
- Log in to Prime Gaming using your Amazon Prime credentials.
- Filter to Prime Day.
- Click "Claim" on any games you're interested in, or all of them. They're free!
- Download or open the game's required launcher — it's specified when you click into each game's listing.
- If you're using the Amazon Games launcher, your games should be ready for download. If you're using a different launcher (like Legendary Games), copy the game key from Prime Gaming to start your download.
