Helen Skelton left red-faced as co-star snaps ‘you need to be professional!’ after live TV blunder
SUMMER on the Farm Live host Helen Skelton was caught in an awkward moment during a recent episode of the Channel 5 show.
The live broadcast saw Helen and co-star Martin Hughes-Games presenting from Yorkshire’s Cannon Hall Farm last week.
Both the hosts always poke fun at one another, but one moment in particular from Thursday’s episode was slightly painful to watch.
Martin went so far as to question Helen’s professionalism live on air.
During one of the final links, Helen and Martin introduced the game that they would be playing for the ‘Yorkshire Games’.
Helen said: “So far this week, we’ve had hay bale flipping, caber tossing, we’ve even had knife throwing.

“But tonight we are going one better, we’re gonna be tossing cheese.”
The petite star picked down to pick a huge wheel of cheese up, but slightly lost her balance, saying: “Ooh they’re quite heavy!”
As Helen smiled and showed the camera what she’d picked up, Martin unnecessarily chimed in, saying: “Turn it around so they can see the front”.
He also grabbed the cheese from Helen, flipping it around live on-air as she simply replied “OK”.

Martin added: “Be professional”, before awkwardly laughing and moving on to the show’s next segment.
Helen then went on to explain the rules of the game before giving it a go with the farm’s locals.
The presenter was praised by fans whilst on the show, as she’s had a very speedy return to work following a split from her husband, Richie Myler.
Helen announced she and Richie – whom she shares three children with – called it quits at the end of April 2022.
They had been married since 2013.
