Re: 'Life is not like that' - John Eustace sets out his Birmingham City masterplan
Nose of BlueI have to say I really like the way Eustace has started.
Nice and positive, seems to want to imprint a style / identity in the team.
He's not isolated anyone from the squad so people like Dean have a clean slate.
His coaching style from the limited clips seems upbeat. He's actually coaching and advising the players. I've not seen any clips from any recent managers doing this.
The whole coaching staff seem to be pulling in the same direction and the players actually look relaxed and happy.
We desperately need to add numbers and a bit of quality to the squad but I think if we do shore things up this guy could be the one to get a tune out of the squad. I think we'll surprise a few and steer clear of the bottom 3 providing we get a few more players in.
If (I think unfortunately, when) we go down, I hope we don't do anything silly and bin him off if he's showed signs of turning it around.
He might be abysmal but unless he's Karanka levels of bad I think I'd happily stick with him and give him 3 years or so to develop something.
I said that about Bowyer and look how that turned out. We do seem to poison people here, hopefully now Ren has gone and Gardner has appointed someone he gets on with it'll be ok.
We'll see.
