Conor McGregor’s coach reveals secret snaps of MMA training as Notorious gears up for blockbuster UFC return
PHOTOS of Conor McGregor’s eagerly-anticipated return to mixed martial arts training have been revealed.
The UFC’s poster boy was spotted at Straight Blast Gym in Dublin last week for the first time since breaking his leg last July.
McGregor resumed light mixed martial arts training in his return to his home gym, where he took several snaps.
And head coach John Kavanagh has given a brief insight into the Notorious’ first few days back at the gym.
Ireland’s first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt shared a series of snaps from one of McGregor’s recent training sessions on Instagram.
McGregor was seen grappling with his mentor and one of his team-mates on the mats of the world-famous gym.
Kavanagh also gave a detailed explanation of a grappling technique to his star pupil, who looked on attentively.
After a hard rolling session, McGregor and his team-mates posed for a group photo – in which the UFC star was all smiles as he embraced his brothers in arms.
McGregor, 33, is in the final stages of recovering from the broken leg he suffered in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirer at UFC 264.
The Irishman was expected to return to the octagon in the autumn but only just resumed kicking with his compromised leg.
