BBC Breakfast viewers all said the same thing as Nina Warhurst GRILLED Nadhim Zahawi in a ‘shouty’ interview.

Nadhim – the current Chancellor of the Exchequer – has put himself forward as a candidate to take over from Boris Johnson as Prime Minister.

A race to replace him as Tory leader has now begun, although Mr Johnson says he will remain in his post until a new leader is appointed.

Nadim, 55, appeared on the BBC show earlier today to share with the nation why he thinks he is the best person that fits the job.

The journalist was keen to understand why he thinks he should be appointed the role considering how financially privileged he is.

Nins, 41, asked: “You say you understand that people are hurting badly and that’s why you took the job as Chancellor, your personal wealth is beyond most people’s wildest dreams, do you feel that you are someone who can associate with normal people?

The Chancellor replied: “I do, I have in many ways grown up and lived the British dream.

“I’ve had real hardship in my family, my father lost everything as you probably know and at one point I had to make a decision of whether I get to university or become a minicab driver.”

Viewers flocked to Twitter to praise her for the interview.

One tweeted: “Great interview so well done Nina @NinaWarhurst #BBCBreakfast.”

Another said: “Nina Warhurst calmly picking Zahawi apart like a boss.”

Meanwhile others were amazed at how well she did because of how loud his voice got at times during the chat.

A third tweeted: “Him shouting all over Nina #BBCBreakfast.”

A fourth chimed in: “Zahawi shouty and all over the place on #BBCBreakfast.”

Mr Johnson resigned on July 7 2022.
