I spent $50k on surgery to get rid of my ‘mom bod’ – my fiance loves it but I couldn’t sleep for DAYS from pain
COSMETIC surgeries and fillers have become the new norm in today’s society.
From the Kardashians to Bella Hadid, it seems anyone who can afford it has gone under the knife.
Brazilian influencer and fitness expert Maquellen Azevedo has spent over $50k to get rid of her “mom bod.”
The mom-of-one had various procedures, including liposuction, before having her son and became fully committed to regaining her pre-pregnancy body.
“After having my son, my self-esteem got worse, I was always very vain and the mother routine was killing me,” the 27-year-old explained.
Before giving birth to her three-month-old Bryan, Maquellen had undergone several surgeries to help improve her self-esteem.

“I did LAD 4D liposuction, bichectomy, and rhinoplasty before getting pregnant,” she said.
Speaking about her lipo LAD, Maquellen said: “It is very annoying because you have to use a compression mold on the body, so that everything goes right.
She continued: “For me everything was okay, and I had a wonderful body, I really fell in love. But I ended up getting pregnant one year after the lipo.”
After the pregnancy, Maquellen felt that her body returned to normal faster because of the surgery.

“I didn’t have much problem with it, it came back super fast, I was even surprised,” she said.
The influencer ended up becoming even thinner than before her pregnancy, but she was also left without sleep for days.
“Thank God, with my body I didn’t have any problems, I lost weight very fast, today I’m thinner than I was before I got pregnant, I was 71kg before getting pregnant and now I weigh 68kg,” she said.
She continued: “The postoperative period of lipo LAD is very complicated, I couldn’t sleep for days.”
Maquellen’s recovery took several pain-filled days but she considers it well worth the struggle.
“I felt a lot of pain because I had a fat graft in my butt. I had drains behind and in front of my body for 10 days. It was very uncomfortable, but I felt very happy,” she said.
“Lipo LAD was my dream. I’m already planning to do the next one,” she concluded.
The influencer describes herself as “vain” and said she did not let pregnancy change that.
“During pregnancy, I already kept eyelash extensions and after my son was born, I had lip fillers,” she explained.
Maquellen also had a facial harmonization procedure during her early months of pregnancy, before she knew she was with child.
According to the fitness fanatic, the bichetomy is one of the most difficult procedures she has undergone.
She explained: “Bichat balls were what they removed from my face, which are the fat bags. It was a complicated moment, but it changed my face a lot.”
Maquellen’s fiance is very supportive of her cosmetic surgery journey and she said she would show the same support to her son if he ever wants to follow in her footsteps.
“My fiance supports me a lot, he knows how vain I am and he also helps me a lot in the matter of taking care of myself,” she said.
“My son is [male], I believe that [he will hardly] have this “addiction” to surgeries like a woman.
“But if he wants to do it, I would be super supportive and take care of him in the post [operative period], for sure.”
The bride-to-be is able to fork out the cash for these pricey surgeries thanks to her work as an influencer.
“I always save money, I work on livestreams,” Maquellen explained.

She continued: “I’m a streamer and I get paid in dollars, I have my money from promotions too, and I close many partnerships with aesthetic procedures.”
“All the surgeries [I’ve had have been] paid for with money that I saved especially to do them,” she said.
