IT shouldn’t come as a surprise that your beauty routine, including your hairstyle, plays a huge role in how young you look.
Thankfully, a hairstylist has revealed key mistakes that you’ll want to avoid if you want to achieve a more youthful look.
Beauty pro Dana Tate shared in a video the three hairstyles that instantly age you.
The first style Tate recommended avoiding is one reminiscent of the ’80s and ’90s – bangs.
“Wearing super short bangs… it’s a no,” Tate said.
She then advised dialing back on the hairspray if you want to look younger.

She explained: “All of that hairspray giving you helmet head?
“It’s also making you look older.”
Finally, Tate pointed out that dark-colored hair may be aging you, but luckily there’s a trick to having dark hair and still looking youthful.
“Hair color that’s too dark for you is not doing you any favors,” Tate said.

“Even if you love dark hair, try a few face-framing highlights to brighten up around your face and make you look at least 10 years younger.”
In other anti-aging tips, you could be making yourself older with your makeup.
Makeup artist, Amanda Leehil, shared the two mistakes women always make, which instantly age them.
“I understand the goal is to distract from aging, it’s doing the opposite” she added.
Amanda revealed that the two makeup products that women should not use if they want to distract from aging are extra thick voluminous eyelashes and powder eyeshadow.
“Thick volume lashes and powder eyeshadow gotta go,” said Amanda.
Meanwhile, Vera Wang stunned fans with her ageless look as she turns 73 and credited her youthfulness to one product.

In an interview with The Strategist, Wang revealed that the number one product she can’t live without is sunscreen.
