Amazon Prime Day 2022 is here, and with it comes thousands of deals on a huge variety of tech gadgets, from laptops to smartphones.

Smartphones often get the Prime Day deal treatment, but iPhone deals are harder to come across. Though Apple doesn't have deals of its own right now, you can find some iPhone promotions from cell carriers like AT&T and Verizon.

We're also seeing some deals from Best Buy, but they're essentially the same deals you'd find from carriers, and the Best Buy deals are less convenient. With that in mind, it's easier to get an iPhone deal straight from the carriers.

Best Prime Day iPhone 13 series deals

Verizon and AT&T are taking $700 off iPhone 13 models when you sign up for an eligible unlimited plan and trade-in your old device. Worthy of note in Verizon's favor: Verizon is also adding a $200 gift card if you switch over from another carrier.

You may not get the full $700 discount depending on your old phone model. Verizon is even accepting damaged or broken phones, as long as the battery doesn't have damage or swelling.

Which iPhone should I buy?

If you're discerning about performance and camera tech, your best bet is the iPhone 13 series. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini are ideal for almost anyone. For the very best that Apple has to offer, like the silky-smooth ProMotion display and the top camera tech, your clear choice is the iPhone 13 Pro series. 

If you enjoy a phone that runs well and takes reliably decent photos, and you're not too worried about getting the best tech, you can opt to get an older iPhone model to save some money, like the iPhone 12 or iPhone 11. 

If you're a "very casual" user, the iPhone SE (2022) is an ideal choice. It's the most affordable iPhone out there, yet it'll keep running for years, as it runs on Apple's latest A15 Bionic processor that's also found in the iPhone 13 series.

iPhone deals can be found throughout the year, but buying an iPhone on Prime Day means that you know you're getting it for one of the best and lowest prices of the year. You might see bigger deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but there's no guarantee.
