I’ve found the grossest things when I try to thrift at Goodwill – I can’t believe people still shop there

A FLORIDA mother has showed off the most horrendous things she’s found for sale in her local Goodwill store.

Melody Hyler spotlighted the worst of the worst that the nonprofit secondhand store had on offer, including several items covered in rust, dirt, and even hair.

“Come with me on a journey to the Goodwill and let’s see what kind of asinine s*** they actually try to sell for money,” Melody begins the clip.

She starts with perhaps the most disgusting find, a used Revlon brush hair dryer, which still has the previous owner’s hair stuck in it.

Goodwill has priced it at $5.99, hair clumps included.

She also finds a reusable plastic cup from the convenience store Circle K, priced at 99 cents, and a glass jar with sand, a dead plant, and sea shells inside for $3.

The store also has a portable cooler, which seems good in theory – but the $4.99 find has “Roberts” written across it in permanent marker.

“This basket that I’ve seen at the Dollar Tree? Four dollars!” she says, amazed.

There’s a broken knickknack on sale for $5, a Ziplock bag full of erasers for $2.99, and another Ziplock bag of Mardi Gras beads and Post-it notes for $4.99.

Her Goodwill is charging $2 for a box of Swiffer dusters that has been opened, $2.99 for a half-empty package of Glade plug-ins, and another $2.99 for a box of Crayola crayons that appears to have grown mold.

Melody seems flabbergasted by a plastic bag filled with containers of homemade slime for $2.99.

Also earning her derision is a nearly-empty box of gems for $2, a “crusty” Dollar Store cellophane centerpiece, and someone’s DIY plastic vase decorated with beads for $2.99.

“I don’t have words,” she says.

One of the pricier items she lays eyes on is a container of shells for $7, a price she finds particularly eyebrow-raising considering the store is located near a beach.

She scoffs as she holds up a bottle of self-tanner.

“This is half-empty and they want $2,” she says.

Other items include a $5 “random basket with one leaf sticking out,” a $3 “rusty, give-you-tetanus garden tool,” a $2 opened package of dog diapers, and a $1 bottle of used deodorant.

Holding up what appears to be a napkin holder, Melody narrates: “Someone’s child made this. Their name is on the bottom and a piece is missing and they want $3.”

Finally, she shows off a rusty, filthy bird cage for $5, a used cat bowl for $1.99, and a jar of sand for $3.

Commenters have been just as disgusted and amazed by Melody’s finds.

“Ok yes goodwill should filter those out but why in the WORLD do people donate those things like just toss them,” wrote one.

“This is what it’s like every time I shop at goodwill. Idk how ppl be finding their treasures,” wrote another.

“Last time I was there they were selling a hair dye kit from the 90s there. The bottles were expired of course and they wanted $15 like what?!” wrote a third.
