Report: Club willing to sell Spurs target for just £6m but under one condition 

Maccabi Tel Aviv are willing to sell Tottenham target Oscar Gloukh for a cut-price fee as long as the buying club agrees to include a sell-on clause, according to Israeli publication Sport5. 

Gloukh impressed after breaking into Maccabi Tel Aviv starting lineup last season, with the attacking midfielder scoring three goals in 8 league appearances in 2021/22 (Transfermarkt).

The print edition of The Sunday Mirror (10/7; page 74) revealed a couple of days ago that Tottenham have already made contact regarding a possible move for the 18-year-old and the North Londoners believe they are now leading the race for the youngster.

The report added that Gloukh, who is also of interest to Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Rangers and Roma, was valued at around £10m.

Sport5 have now asserted that Maccabi Tel Aviv would be willing to sell the teenager for just €7m (£5.9m) as long as they get a percentage of the proceeds from the player’s future transfer.

The report states that Gloukh is attracting interest from ‘all over the continent’, naming Spurs, Liverpool and Roma among the clubs interested in the Israeli Under-21 international.

I would not be surprised if Paratici looks to sign Gloukh and loan him back to Maccabi Tel Aviv for the 2022/23 season.

However, the Israeli club’s insistence on a sell-on clause might be an issue as the Tottenham hierarchy do not tend to agree to such clauses while buying players.

I suspect Spurs would prefer to pay a couple of extra million rather than agreeing to a sell-on clause if they are indeed serious about their interest in the 18-year-old.
