My son was traumatised at nursery and no one’s doing anything about it
DEAR DEIDRE: MY two-year-old son was left outside alone in the play area at his nursery, unattended and forgotten for half an hour.
I only discovered what had happened when I picked him up one evening.
The staff didn’t seem to care and the manager bluntly told me to forget about it.
I am a 28-year-old single mum.
The owner claims to have started disciplinary procedures but the staff involved have carried on working as normal.
My son is traumatised and refuses to go to nursery.

Until he is ready to return, I have to stay at home with him.
I work part-time but have the opportunity to go full-time – something I really want but may have to forfeit.
