AS a global superstar Lady Gaga is no stranger to being surrounded by security.
But the Rain On Me singer is now so famous that even her wardrobe has its own guards.
I have learned Donatella Versace has helped design some of the costumes for her upcoming Chromatica Ball world tour and they have been given round-the-clock protection.
She has been wearing the garments during rehearsals for the tour, which kicks off in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Sunday, and they have been accompanied by guards when being transported.
A source said: “The designer clothes, including designs by Versace that Lady Gaga will be wearing, are priceless because they have been made especially for her.
“There are lots of outfits which are being guarded 24/7 because they are so precious and her team doesn’t want them being damaged or seen by anyone.

“She loves a costume change so there’s a lot of clothes to guard.
“Rehearsals have been intense for weeks and obviously everyone has been forbidden from filming or taking photos to ensure everything is a surprise on opening night.
“It will be an absolute spectacle.”
The 20-show outing will see her perform several tracks from her 2020 No1 album Chromatica for the first time.

It will include two gigs at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London this month.
As one of the greatest performers of her generation, I have no doubt it will be one hell of a show.
CARLY’S SHOW IS SHEER FRONT
CARLY RAE JEPSEN was carefree and see-through while performing in this lace outfit in London.

SAM WILL DIRECT THE AMY FILM
AMY WINEHOUSE’s biopic hasn’t made much progress since it was announced four years ago but the much-anticipated film finally has a director.
Sam Taylor-Johnson, who is best known for racy 2015 film Fifty Shades Of Grey, is now on board.
The biopic was announced by Amy’s family in 2018 and is going by the name Back To Black, the title of her 2006 album featuring hit songs Rehab, You Know I’m No Good and Love Is A Losing Game.
The script is finished and the search for an actress to play the troubled singer – who passed away in 2011 aged 27 – will begin in the coming weeks.
Her father Mitch told The Sun they didn’t want an A-lister to tackle the role.
He said: “I wouldn’t mind betting it would be an unknown, young, English, London, cockney actress who looks a bit like Amy.”
BLUE VINYL CLASSICS
Little Mix, Bob Dylan and Foo Fighters are among acts having their albums released as limited-edition records for Unicef’s Blue Vinyl project.
Just 48 copies have been pressed for each of the ten albums picked, which will raise money for the UN children’s aid organisation.
Little Mix’s Confetti, Bob’s The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan and the Foos’ most recent album, Medicine At Midnight, have all been chosen for the special reissue.
The others are Carole King’s Tapestry, The Clash’s Combat Rock, Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams, Janis Joplin’s Pearl, Leon Bridges’ Coming Home, Prince’s The Rainbow Children, and Live At Monterey by Jimi Hendrix.

PAMMI PAIR EMMY JOY
LILY JAMES and Sebastian Stan look set for a bumper night at the Emmys.
The pair have two nominations between them for their portrayal of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in Pam & Tommy, – Outstanding Lead Actress and Actor, and the show gets a nod as Outstanding Limited Series.
Zendaya broke the record for the Youngest Producing Nominee thanks to her role in HBO’s Euphoria.
And Spider-Man’s Andrew Garfield landed his first nod, for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited or Anthology Series for Under The Banner Of Heaven.
The awards ceremony takes place in Los Angeles on September 20.
ROCHELLE BABY FEAR
ROCHELLE HUMES says she was scared her bandmates in The Saturdays would “hate” her after she fell pregnant while in the group.
The What About Us singer, who had first daughter Alaia in 2013 at the height of their career, said: “We’d just gone to America.
“We had a TV show out there. I remember just finding it, like, ‘Oh my gosh, everybody’s going to hate me, because we’re now supposed to be cracking America’.”
Rochelle has three kids with husband Marvin but won’t have any more.
She added on the Made By Mammas podcast: “I just need to be sensible and know that we’re done.”
STORMZY JAZZES UP HIS LOOK
UNLIKE Lady Gaga and her priceless outfits, Stormzy’s idea of dressing up for a performance involves pulling on his jeans.
The Heavy Is The Head rapper delivered a set at Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland on Monday, which he opened with his 2019 Top Ten single Crown.
And the three-time Brit Award winner said he had put careful thought into the all-black outfit he wore on stage, following other performers at the festival, which included Diana Ross, Paolo Nutini and Bjork.
He said: “’Cause this is a jazz festival I’ve worn jeans. This is the first time I’ve worn jeans on stage before. I thought I’d dress up.”
ENCORE FOR EMINEM
EMINEM is releasing another greatest hits album.
It comes after his 2005 “best of” compilation, Curtain Call, returned to the charts following his appearance in the half-time show of the US Super Bowl in February, which was watched by millions worldwide.
Curtain Call 2 will feature music from the seven albums he has released since 2005, as well as his recent Snoop Dogg collaboration, From the D 2 The LBC.
The compilation will also include a new track, although he is yet to give details about that one.
There is not long to wait for it though, as the album will be out on August 5.
ROMEO IS BECK ON THE MARKET
ROMEO BECKHAM is single again and in search of his Juliet after splitting up with his long-term girlfriend.
The middle son of David and Victoria struggled to keep his romance with model Mia Regan alive after he moved to Miami, while she stayed in the UK, and they have parted after three years together.
Mia wants to focus on her career as a model and influencer.
A source said: “Romeo and Mia have decided to split up because it has been hard to keep the spark alive while living on opposite sides of the world.
“He is playing football for his dad’s team, Inter Miami II, so can’t fly back all the time to see her. It’s been hard.
“They are still close but it’s just not viable right now. But who knows what will happen in the future.”
Romeo deleted photos of Mia from his Instagram account although it seems they aren’t on bad terms.
They still follow each other and have been commenting on and liking each other’s posts.
DUA: I WON’T GO POLITICAL
SHE has millions of fans hanging on her every word but Dua Lipa won’t be lecturing them about politics – not through her music, at least.
But she is still keen to be heard.
Dua says she has no issue addressing social matters in her songs, as she did with Boys Will Be Boys, where she sang about women living in fear of being attacked by men.
Asked about her third album, she said: “Political music is not necessarily something I’m going to get into.
“I like to make music that makes people feel good.
“I like to tell stories about things that have happened to me to make people feel less alone.
“With Boys Will Be Boys, that was something in the moment I needed to write. I felt I was talking about what it’s like to be a woman.
“But it really depends on what I’m going through and if the song is good enough.”
