Credit union offers
shredding services

Redwood Credit Union will offer free document shredding and electronics disposal Saturday.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot at Novato Community Hospital at 180 Rowland Way.

Organizers will accept up to three boxes of documents. Conservation Corps North Bay will accept e-waste such as printers, computers, cellphones and other electronics.

SchoolsRule Marin will collect monetary donations at the event.

Candidates’ workshop
planned this month

The Marin Women’s Political Action Committee will hold a workshop on July about running for public office.

The session is 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Club at McInnis at 350 Smith Ranch Road. The cost is $40 and includes a pasta buffet.

Restaurants get
pandemic grants

Two Marin restaurants have been awarded pandemic grants from the California Restaurant Foundation and the PG&E Corporation Foundation.

Caribbean Spices restaurant in San Rafael and Creekside Pizza & Taproom in San Anselmo each received $3,000. The money is earmarked for deferred equipment upgrades and staff retention.

Statewide, the organizations awarded 144 grants to businesses with three or fewer locations with less than $3 million in revenue. Women- and minority-owned businesses were prioritized, according to the foundations.
