Reuters: Lithuanian authorities expand list of restrictions on transit of goods to Kaliningrad
Reuters reports on the decision of Lithuania to expand the list of restrictions on the transit of goods to the Kaliningrad region through its territory. This is reported by the agency, citing the Lithuanian Customs Service.
According to the Lithuanian Customs Service, the new restrictions apply to the transportation of alcohol, timber, industrial alcohol-based chemicals and cement. The new restrictions are to be introduced after the step-by-step changes of the previously announced EU sanctions come into force.
The agency specifies that the customs department is referring to the numbers of the European Union’s regulations on transit to the Kaliningrad Region and its annexes.
