I’m size 14 & went shopping in Primark – the top looks like it’s for kids & don’t get me started on everything else
LET’S face it, we’ve all fallen in love with an item of clothing on the hanger, only to try it on and find it to be a huge disappointment.
Inspired by others who have posted successful Primark hauls, Laura Louise took to TikTok to share her own – but it didn’t quite go to plan.
She captioned the video: “Everywhere I look everyone finds nice Primark outfits then there’s me.”
In the clip, Laura begins: “A reality haul try on in Primark. Everyone else’s looks amazing, but this is from our store.”
First up, she tries on a orange vest top, pink trousers and a matching bucket hat.

Next, she tries on a strappy orange dress and jokes: “Don’t get me started on this dress.”
And things continues to go downhill when she opts for a frilly vest top.

“Size 14 all of this is,” she says. “I mean, this top looks like a size 4 for a child!”
Laura then slips into a puff sleeved white midi frock which she refers to as the “robot dress.”

“I just couldn’t move in it,” she jokes.
Next, Laura tries on a pair of denim jean shorts – perfect for the summer weather.
“These shorts are quite comfy actually,” Laura notes. “Again, I’m wearing a size 14. I quite like these bad boys.”
Finally, she slips into a pair of smart, high waisted white trousers.
“Again, really like these until they were ankle swingers!” she says.
The post has since racked up an impressive 148,000 views and been inundated with comments from social media users.
“Their sizes are ridiculous…I’ve given up,” wrote one.
A second commented: “I’ve found all the trousers are too short for me I don’t want ankle grazers.”
A third penned: “Since I’ve been pregnant and my bump showing I’ve had to shop else were! Their clothes feel like they are for teens.”
Meanwhile, another quipped: “This is literally me.”
