Judge Rules Against Amber Heard After Juror Controversy in Johnny Depp Trial
A judge is ruling against Amber Heard‘s latest legal filing in the Johnny Depp trial.
If you missed it, Amber filed a motion to have her guilty verdict thrown out before requesting a mistrial because of a controversy with one of the jurors.
The summons for jury duty was sent out to a Virginia resident in April. However, according to Amber‘s filing, there were two individuals residing at the same address with, at the very least, “the same last name.” One of them is a 77-year old individual and one is a 52-year old individual. The former was the one being summoned, but the latter evidently showed up. “Thus, the 52-year-old- (redacted) sitting on the jury for six weeks was never summoned for jury duty on April 11 and did not ‘appear in the list,’ as required,” the filing read.
