The long-pending land acquisition issue in the state is expected to be resolved soon with some 1.2 hectares of additional land in Palghar being acquired in the last 10 days alone, officials told ET. On July 4, the Eknath Shinde-led government proved its majority in the Maharashtra assembly. Work on the Maharashtra side of the project had slowed at the time of the previous Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government.
