This skydiving video is all we could talk about today, so we had to share it with you
If there’s one thing social media is good for, it’s recirculating events that have slightly faded from collective memory—or simply happened before viewers were around to see them. While this phenomenon can sometimes (unfortunately) mean folks are spreading misinformation by presenting photos or videos as though they’re current events, other times it’s just a way for people to react to and bond over moments that were, well, viral-worthy.
One recent example comes to us from a Twitter post by user @shannonsharpee. The poster writes, “Bruh imagine you go skydiving for your 1st time & this happens 😩😩😩” and below is a stress-inducing 24-second video clip of skydivers readying to jump out of a plane…. only to collide with another plane.
This isn’t a movie, either—it really happened back in 2013, per CNN. The two small planes were flying over Superior, Wisconsin, and had a total of 11 people on board. All survived with minor injuries, including the pilots, thanks to emergency parachutes.
Now, for the video.
