Warning for iPhone users as ‘battery killer’ mistakes reduce value – key percentage to look out for

0

LOOKING after your iPhone battery is important for your everyday use but it can also serve you well when you want to sell it.

According to BuybackBoss, there’s a key maximum capacity percentage you need to watch out for if you want to sell your phone as “Mint” or “Used” condition.

The phone selling expert website states: ” If your iPhone is in mint condition, it means it has virtually no signs of use.

“More than likely, if you’re touting a mint condition iPhone, then you’ve kept it in a sturdy, enclosed iPhone case its entire life.

“Not only does your iPhone look great, but it also has to have a fully functioning battery with 80% maximum capacity.”

The advice is similar if you want to sell your phone as “Used”.

Apple official warning for MILLIONS as your iPhone is at risk of damage right now

BuybackBoss states: “For most of us, we’d describe our iPhone as “used”.

“We kept our iPhone in its case and used it every day, so it has some minor signs of wear.

“However, there are no glaring cosmetic issues and the battery is still in great shape (80% maximum health).”

If your maximum battery percentage is lower than this, it’s likely you’ll have to sell your phone for less.

There is a quick way of checking your battery’s health and maximum endurance.

Open the Settings app and select Battery.

Click the Battery Health tab.

On this page, you’ll find a full report on your battery’s capacity, peak performance, and if the battery should be serviced or replaced.

The battery’s maximum capacity “is a measure of battery capacity relative to when it was new,” according to Apple.
