Second cat shot with crossbow in Highlands dies as cops launch probe into attacks
A CAT has died after being struck by a crossbow in a second incident in the Highlands.
Cops are appealing for information after the two cats were found by their owners shot with arrows and with serious injuries.
The incidents happened between Monday, 18 July and Friday, 22 July in the Kerrow Drive area in Kingussie, Inverness-shire.
We told yesterday how one cat, Nuke, had been shot with an arrow but it miraculously avoided any major organs.
X-rays showed the arrow deep inside the 12-year-olds body but completely missing his heart, lungs and spine.
Owner Jack McLean had left the door open and Nuke had returned with the arrow in his back and he had feared “he had crawled home to die.”

Tabby cat Nuke got surgery to remove the arrow and is said to make a full recovery.
“I’m sure he’ll make a full recovery, just got to keep an eye on him over the next week and get his check ups.
“The vets seem very optimistic so that fills me with confidence, he’s always been a hardy cat too.
“I’m so grateful for everything they managed to do at Strathspey Vets.
