Tour de France Stage: Philipsen Triumphs While Jumbo Celebrates
Jasper Philipsen got the win today on the Champs Élysées ahead of Dylan Groenewegen and Alexander Kristoff. Wout Van Aert passed on the sprint and rolled over the line with his teammates, including the maillot jaune Jonas Vingegaard. About the only news was Tadej Pogacar attacking on the final lap, but apparently just to make an attempt at the stage win. Nothing left to say. Great Tour.

Honestly I’m trying to think of which sprinter could actually get his leadout to click on this tricky finish and after Cahors I couldn’t come up with one. Maybe Philipsen? And the Mads&Stuyven show is usually pretty reliable. Maybe that’s your podium, Wout, Philipsen, Pedersen in some order?
