Chamberfest West, the new Calgary chamber music festival co-founded by CPO concertmaster Diana Cohen and her pianist husband Roman Rabinovich started impressively – with a big bang. The explosive beginning, as the Wednesday night concert was called, was the initial event in a five-concert summer festival presenting the widest possible range of programs and programming, from established classics to music for silent movies to recent and newly commissioned classical music.
