I had a divorce party and fell in love with the hot topless waiter – we had a whirlwind romance and now have a baby
A WOMAN has revealed how she fell in love with a topless waiter that she had booked for her divorce party, and they are now married with a baby.
The last thing on 29-year-old Gabriella Landolfi’s mind was finding a new man as she gathered friends in March 2019 to celebrate the end of her marriage.
Her divorce from her turbulent 10-year marriage had been finalised the month before, and Melbourne-based teacher Gabriella wanted to party in style.
One of the topless waiters booked for the gig was insurance assessor John Landolfi, 28 – and the couple were instantly attracted to each other.
John texted her the next day to see how she was, and they met up for their first date the next night, although Gabriella was “wary” of how “into his looks and body” he was.
However, she soon started to fall for his personality, and within a month they had moved in together.

John proposed in July 2019, and they tied the knot in November 2020, with baby Matteo arriving in July 2021.
Speaking to the Mirror, John said: “I was doing my job and I never thought this would happen. Being with Gabbie just felt right.
“I never saw it as a whirlwind, it felt like we knew each other forever.”
Gabriella said seeing John with his daughter from a previous relationship made her fall more in love with him as she was able to see that “sweet side” to him.

John popped the question in Melbourne, Australia, on the Rialto tower, and they got married a year later.
She said: “I was shocked as we’d joked about getting engaged but I didn’t think it would happen so soon.”
Gabby described the wedding day as “amazing” but said it was smaller than they had thought due to it taking place in the pandemic.

A month after their wedding, the couple fell pregnant and Matteo arrived in July 2021 via an emergency C-section weighing 6lbs 4oz.
Gabby added: “I’ve been through a lot, and I never thought I’d meet my husband at my divorce party, but I wouldn’t change it. I have the most amazing family.”
