One dead, two wounded in two Reseda shootings
RESEDA — At least one person was killed and two others were wounded in multiple shootings in Reseda.
Los Angeles police officers were called at 12:41 a.m. to the 18000 block of Saticoy Street where they found a man lying near a tree suffering from gunshot wounds, LAPD Officer Matthew Cruz told City News Service.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Hours earlier police were called at around 7:55 p.m. Thursday to Sherman Way, west of Reseda Boulevard near a tattoo shop where a robbery occurred.
Witnesses told officers that two victims were approached by three men — and after they were robbed and words were exchanged, the three suspects shot at the victims multiple times, wounding both, Cruz said.
The victims were taken to a hospital in unknown conditions. Police are unsure if the shootings were related.
Fox 11 reported two or three people who were seen leaving the scene in a vehicle near Sherman Way were arrested but it was unclear if they are suspects in either of the shootings.
