Class of 2023 three-star guard Elijah Gertrude announces top-five

Class of 2023 guard and New Jersey native Elijah Gertrude announced on Saturday that he is down to Virginia, Seton Hall, St. Johns, Rutgers, and Kansas.
The 6-foot-3 three-star took his most recent visit to Virginia, but went to St. John’s and Seton Hall back in June.
“The Virginia visit was good, it was great actually,” Gertrude told ZAGSBLOG. “Their message is Coach [Tony] Bennett feels I’m a great defensive player and I can take take that defensive effort to another level.”
“It’s been exciting,” Gertrude said of the recruiting process. “It’s been a process that I’m willing to keep taking. I really enjoy it. From going from [those] schools to Virginia and Rutgers, it’s a blessing. it’s something that I dream of.”
There is no perceived favorite in Gertrude’s recruitment race at this time.
