A group of people staged a protest at Chandigarh road on Sunday afternoon and blocked the Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway for about two hours, alleging police inaction in a case in which a woman was allegedly beaten up and her clothes were torn. They staged a protest outside Moti Nagar police station on Saturday midnight as well.
