Arun Pathak, the head of a fringe saffron outfit Vishwa Hindu Sena (VHS), was arrested and sent to jail by the Bhelupur police on Monday when he was heading towards Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer 'jalabhishek' and offer prayer at Shringar Gauri's idol in the adjacent Gyanvapi mosque compound. Police, however, said Pathak was arrested in an old case lodged against him.
