Watch as car driver opens his door in traffic and knocks off moped rider – people are divided
A VIDEO has emerged showing a driver knocking off a moped rider at a set of traffic lights.
Uploaded to Instagram by the @faildrive channel, the video shows why both car drivers and moped riders need to have their wits about them in town.
The video is shot from the helmet cam of another motorbike rider threading their way through traffic in down.
Up ahead is a moped doing the same, and a white Fiat 500 that’s stopped in traffic at a red light.
To the right of the Fiat is a traffic island and hatched markings and the moped moves to pass between them.

However, as it makes the move the driver of the Fiat climbs out to remove his jacket and knocks the moped rider off.
The rider seems to fall off in slow-motion but topples over slamming to the ground.

The driver doesn’t seem to notice at first, removing his jacket and throwing it on the seat.
He then realises, turning to help the moped rider up by sticking out a hand, but the rider refuses and climbs to their feet.
It ends with the moped rider putting their hands up as if to ask what on earth the driver was doing.

But there were comments backing both the driver and the moped rider on the post.
