CAG pulls up ASI for low expenditure on excavation, vacancies

The culture ministry and ASI need to immediately evolve a strategy to ensure time-bound amendment in the relevant Acts and expedite the preparation of Heritage By-Law for all protected monuments to minimise and prevent encroachment, it has said.
