Emmerdale spoilers – Fans in tears after HUGE breakthrough for much-loved character; plus Corrie & EastEnders news

EMMERDALE fans left in tears as Marlon Dingle overcomes his debilitating stroke and walks down the isle to marry Rhona.

Marlon Dingle suffered a horrific stroke earlier this year on Emmerdale, and he had to relearn how to walk and talk.

Since coming home from hospital, he has been bound to a wheelchair to help him get about, however on his wedding day to Rhona, he vowed to walk down the isle.

As Marlon overcame the odds and bravely walked on his own for the first time, down the isle, viewers were reduced to tears watching the touching moment.

It was touch and go whether Marlon would even make it to the wedding after he suffered a nasty fall the night before and was rushed to hospital.

One viewer Tweeted: “Any else in tears watching @emmerdale Marlon walking the aisle.”

Another wrote: “Yes Marlon!! You did it oh I am crying like I’ve been cutting onions for a week,’ with one also tweeting: ‘MARLON WALKING DOWN THE AISLE OMG.”

“Marlon walking up the aisle with everyone cheering him on was just beautiful,” a third added.
