Author Salman Rushdie Attacked on Stage Moments Before Giving Speech in New York

Author Salman Rushdie was attacked, and reportedly stabbed, at an event on Friday morning (August 12) in Chautauqua, New York.

As the 75-year-old author was being introduced before a speech at the Chautauqua Institution, a man stormed the stage and began “punching or stabbing” Salman.
