“It’s been a long year,” Ronnie said to co-star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino in a scene that was filmed back in the spring.
“It’s been a lot of just doing the right thing, being a full-time dad, and being sober,” Ronnie continued. “I’m living the best life I can, one day at a time.”
Ronnie went on to note that he’s had “basically full-time” custody of daughter Ariana, 4, whom he shares with ex-Jen Harley. He also said that he’s been in a “state of depression,” but is focusing on “improving.”
In a confessional, Ronnie explained that after “one of the hardest years” of his life, he’s missed his Jersey Shore cast mates.
“I’ve been through some s–t,” Ronnie said. “I f–ked up. I understand and that’s part of recovery, as well. What matters is I got through it and I’m going to continue to get through it.”
Back in May 2021, Ronnie announced that he was taking a step away from filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation to focus on his sobriety and mental health.
New episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation air on Thursdays at 8pm ET on MTV.
