Thousands rally in Budapest to protect forests

BUDAPEST, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of Hungarians demonstrated in Budapest on Friday after the government suspended nature conservation rules, particularly those protecting natural forests.

On Aug. 4, the government decided to suspend the rules in order to speed up logging in the light of energy concerns.
