Final Strictly Come Dancing star confirmed as Helen Skelton by host Claudia Winkleman
STRICTLY Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman confirmed the final name of the 2022 line-up this morning.
Countyfile’s Helen Skelton is the 15th and final name announced for the forthcoming series.
She said: “I’m really excited to get stuck into a fun adventure. My family and friends have always loved the show and can’t wait for me to get started.”
The Sun revealed earlier this month that the star was appearing on the show hoping to “bounce back” from her shock marriage break up.
Helen, 39, announced her break with rugby league ace husband Richie Myler, 32, in April — four months after their third child was born.
A source told The Sun: “Most people are absolutely desperate to avoid the Strictly curse but Helen would love it to give her some confidence back.”
The star started her TV career in children’s television, presenting Newsround and Blue Peter on the BBC.

She went on to front Countryfile, Channel 5’s On The Farm series and is a regular on ITV Tonight.
