New contract and loan move for Barca's Nico Gonzalez

MADRID, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona on Saturday confirmed they have renewed the contract of midfielder Nico Gonzalez and loaned him to Valencia for the forthcoming season.

The 20-year-old has signed a three-year contract extension until the end of June 2026, with a release clause of one billion euros (about 1.03 billion U.S. dollars). The agreement also takes him to Valencia for the new campaign.
