Mum shares genius hack to ensure your kids’ going back to school routine is a breeze from their first day

AFTER six weeks off, it can be very difficult to encourage kids to get back to following a routine upon their return to school.

But one mum has come up with a clever way to help them – and all you need is a pack of coloured pens and a cheap clock.

She took to TikTok to explain her hack, saying: “With kids back in school we all know how hard it is to keep them on track.

“That’s why I decided to create an after school routine clock that will help my daughter stay on schedule while also learning about time.”

She then showed how she’d taken the front off the clock and coloured in hour and half an hour slots in different colours.

Then she put up a sheet with sections in those coordinating colours.

On each section, she put different activities, such as homework, reading, playtime, dinner and bath time.

Her daughter was then seen going to the clock, checking what colour it was, and starting the respective task.

“If you have kids at home this will be a game changer,” she captioned her video, which has been watched over 1.2 million times.

To which the mum replied: “It has helped a lot! She knows exactly what to expect and what’s coming up next.”

As another person hilariously added: “Brilliant! I need this for my 59 yr old self!”
