‘Greedy’ bride reveals tiered wedding system & people are really shocked
ANYONE who has ever planned a wedding can attest to how expensive it can be.
However, a Reddit user’s friend took it way to far when she asked her guests to contribute, but the request came with ridiculous rules.
A Reddit user has shared the ridiculous system a friend of hers used when organizing her wedding guest list.
The original poster explained how she had been invited to her friend’s wedding abroad, but was unable to attend due to work commitments.
The user explained: “In their save the date invite, [the couple] mentioned that they did not have the budget for their dream wedding so invited contributions.”
The original poster’s friends filled her in on the messed up method the happy couple used to reward those who contributed.

“How they planned their wedding was that you were given a time to attend the wedding and, depending on the amount you contributed, you were allowed in at a certain time,” the user said.
She detailed: “So people who contributed more attended ceremony and dinner and reception you get the idea.”
Despite the original poster and others, contributing money, the couple still asked their musician friends to provide the live music.
However, they still didn’t allow in some guests until after the free music concluded.

“Here is the kicker, if you didn’t make much of a contribution you were invited after the live music in the reception,” the poster said.
Reddit users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the penny-pinching couple.
“Crowdfunding your wedding is borderline tacky. But then to determine how much time someone can spend at the reception based on how much they gave? Insanely tacky,” said one reader.

Another user agreed: “Not only is that tacky, the effort of developing three separate guest lists and determining who comes in when would be way too much for me.”
“Why do people agree to this by attending? I’d RSVP ‘no’ and not give a dime. It’s appalling!” wrote a third person.
