Two men shot at crowded Union City restaurant
UNION CITY — Two men who were shot Friday night at a crowded restaurant are expected to survive, police said.
The victims, ages 28 and 29, were found with gunshot wounds by responding officers dispatched at 11:50 p.m. to Mexico Lindo, a restaurant and cantina on Alvarado-Niles Road.
Police did not say if the men were shot inside or outside the building.
The victims were taken to a hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.
“This was an isolated incident and there are no additional threats to the public,” Union City police said in a statement.
Authorities did not release any information about suspects or a possible motive.
