[Women's Soccer] Big Second Half By The Saints Pushes Game to a Tie

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women's soccer team kicked off their Fall season with a non-conference matchup at home vs cross-town rival Bethel University. Bethel managed to score two goals, off penalty kick, in the first half to take the 2-0 lead after the first 45 minutes of action. The Pilots would score another goal early in the second half, but Holy Cross would respond with an offensive attack of their own. Nicole Cook got the Saints on the board with a goal scored in the 53rd minute. Shortly after that, Lauren Cernak cut the lead to 3-2 with a goal of her own. Cook would score her second goal in the 75th minute, and that would be the knotting goal as the game would finish in a 3-3 draw. With the tie, both teams begin the season with an 0-0-1.
